18 Months.

I can't believe Crosby is 19 months old!!  The 18th month was a huge month in Crosby's development.   I would say the changes have been more this month than in the last two combined.

• This month Cros started walking backwards!  When he does this, he gets a huge smile on his face like he is really proud of himself.  I've tried to catch it on video, but miss it every time.

• Crosby recently started saying "outside."  He also said his name for the first time this month.  He was sitting in the bathtub and just said it, "Crosby."  Another word he said that surprised us was "bubbles."  I couldn't believe he could say a two syllable word so easily.

• He has learned to wipe his hands and wipe his face when he is all done or falls down outside.  He has also learned to hand me his dishes when he is all done eating and wants down from his seat.

• We finished his playroom this month, too!  Crosby loves to tunnel through his fort and go down the slide.

• Crosby's interaction with the pugs has increased a ton this month, too.  He no longer just pets them.  Now he rolls around on the rugs with them and belly laughs.  It's so adorable to watch.

• His favorite word this month, by far, was "oy!"  I'm not sure he realizes he's Catholic.  lol.

• When reading books, Crosby loves to lay on his belly on the floor and flip through them on his own.  He won an award at daycare for reading the most books.  This doesn't surprise me because he would read one after another all night long if we'd let him.  Who knew I'd have to tell him to "step away from the books."

• Another quirk this month is throwing his hands into the air when we ask him a question.  For instance, if the phone rings and we say, "who is calling?"  He'll toss his hands up like he's saying, "Who knows?!"

• He has also started climbing on top of everything and wanting to wear shoes all the time.  He specifically loves his loafers (which are a size too big for him). 

 

• This month we also experienced pink eye.  Fun times.

•  We had visits with Nana, Gigi, Grampy, Aunt Teresa and cousin Christian this month.

• Crosby also trick or treated for the first time!!
